Misiones
Home to Iguazú Falls — one of the natural wonders of the world. Subtropical forests, red earth, and the unique blend of Argentine, Brazilian, and Paraguayan cultures at the Triple Frontier.
About Misiones
Misiones is Argentina's subtropical jewel, a narrow province wedged between Brazil and Paraguay that feels like a different country from Buenos Aires. The star attraction is Iguazú Falls — 275 waterfalls spanning 2.7 kilometers that make Niagara look like a garden fountain. But Misiones is far more than its famous falls. The province is covered in dense subtropical forest (part of the Atlantic Forest, one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on Earth), dotted with Jesuit ruins (UNESCO World Heritage), and produces Argentina's best yerba mate. The red earth, the warm climate, and the triple-border culture create a unique atmosphere. For expats, Misiones offers incredibly affordable living in a natural paradise, though infrastructure is more basic than southern Argentina.
